With six male suicides in the district recently, a group of local Bikers decided enough was enough so in 2016 they decided to start the “Giant Pumpkin Competition” to build awareness and much needed funds for the prevention of suicide – as well as having a excuse for a good old laugh and chat about something different.

With competition heating up, this year saw a large group of spectators and competitors gather under the large shady trees of the Willow Street Precinct in Tailem Bend to witness the biggest, so far, Giant Pumpkin being unloaded (At the very last minute) from the family vehicle of the Pitt family of Moorlands.

By all accounts the 2018 Giant Pumpkin Competition is set to be even bigger!
